Two men stabbed in street fight

Two men are in hospital after they were stabbed in a fight between two groups in Lancashire.

Police were forced to close part of Blackburn Road in Great Harwood after the fight broke out there at about 2320 BST on Friday night.

One man was stabbed in his arm and the other in his back and elbow. They are both at the Royal Blackburn Hospital where they are in a serious condition.

Six men have been arrested by police in connection with the inquiry.

Four teenagers, two aged 18 and 19 from Accrington, and two aged 19 from Blackburn, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Two men aged 19 and 25 and from Great Harwood are also being questioned.
